Serbia has a well-developed railway network that connects major cities within the country. The Serbian Railways system offers domestic routes linking cities like Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, and Subotica. Also other small trains go to villages in 3 directions. Only 1 express train is now available to Novi Sad and 2 express trains to Subotica and Nis are in plans to start their journey. All express trains were given by Russia and they are still called the same as they were in their homeland. Internationally, Serbia is not well-connected to neighboring countries though, with only direct train to Podgorica (mnt) and railway to Budapest (hun) in construction.
